There can be a lot of unwanted stress that goes with planning a wedding, so we know that worrying about your wedding film shouldn’t be one of them.
Q: Why is having a wedding video any better than a set of wedding photographs?
A: Your perfectly tailored wedding film can be something beautiful and amazing. Modern technology, camera equipment and filming and editing techniques have enabled videographers to become skilled story-tellers. You will have a deeper emotional connection to reliving your wedding day through film than you can draw from regular photographs.
Q: Why should I have a wedding film taken?
A: Whilst still photographs only capture a single moment, a wedding film will enable you to re-live your special day and share the events of the day as they unfold with family and friends that may not have been able to be present. Your wedding film will be like a time capsule that effortlessly captures all the emotions and feelings of the day. It is a fantastic way of capturing all the members of your family from the most senior to the very youngest. You will be able to show your grown children a special moment in time that they may not have witnessed or were too young to remember at the time.
Q: Do we get a say about how our wedding film is shot?
A: Of course you do! Your wedding film is a reflection of you and your unique personalities. Your videographer will take time to get to know you and understand your likes and dislikes and personal tastes to enable them to craft a personalised film that is just as unique as you. If you want to have a themed wedding or a retro style wedding – that is no problem! Your film maker will capture your style perfectly. Your film will be something that you will want to watch over and over again.
Q: How long should I book my wedding videographer for?
A: Most wedding videographers will offer a whole range of different packages that can often be tailored to fit your particular tastes and budget. You may want to have a film that covers everything from the build up and preparation before your ceremony and ends when you exit your wedding venue as newly-weds. Or you may prefer your film to include your wedding reception following your ceremony to capture memories from the whole day.
Q: Will the wedding videographer get in the way?
A: Not at all. Unlike a wedding photographer that will gather groups of guests together to pose for a photograph and generally order people around, a wedding videographer is paid to be completely unobtrusive. It is their aim to capture moments in real-time as they happen with no staging or second attempts. A highly skilled videographer will generally blend into the background and be unseen at the wedding.
